‘My Bestie’ crochet doll collection is purely made from an intention to create a happy play companion for your little one. The range will feature different personalities of dolls – from bookworms, Tomboys, fashionistas to nature lovers – to ensure your child finds the one that truly captivates her heart!
Why dolls? Dolls present a unique opportunity for children to engage in role-playing that mimics everyday life. It often creates a safe ‘non-judgemental’ zone for them where they can be their true self and express freely without inhibitions or social pressures. Dolls have been an integral part of child counselling and therapy.
Also, this is a small effort from our side to bring back ‘doll play’ which has sadly been replaced by entertainment series on iPads and Television. Doll play’s benefits in children’s social and emotional development, imagination, and creativity cannot be ignored!
About Samara: Samara or ‘Sam’ as her friends call her is all about great panache. She loves a bit of dress-up everyday but in a mindful way which she learnt from her mama. Her wardrobe has only a few, but very interesting outfits that are all planet-friendly. She ensures her old clothes are passed down responsibly and finds a dozen creative ways to style her limited collection, making them look new every time she wears them.

Doll care: Completely washable. Clothes and shoes can be removed easily and each piece can be washed in gentle baby shampoo by hand.
Made-to-order: We make these dolls against orders. You will receive it in two weeks.
About the crafter: Shipra watched her mother knit sweaters, jumpers, cardigans and hats all her childhood, and was taught the basics of crochet back then. In 2013, a friend introduced her to Pinterest and she has been crocheting since then. Not a day that goes by without her creating something new…
