‘Magic of Morocco’ collection was inspired by Morocco’s distinct, beautiful and intricate ‘Zellige’ mosaic artform. Zellige refers to a symmetrical and repetitive mosaic artwork made from individually chiseled geometric, colourful tiles set into a plaster base. This Islamic art form defines Moroccan architecture and is used to ornament public places and homes as a statement of luxury. We found the patterns intricate, vibrant and appealing, and decided to create a collection with similar design principles.
